Multiplier Event – Virtual reality: new learning and teaching methods and approaches in higher education
Virtual laboratories as a type of virtual reality represent an interesting form of modern digital technologies that enable the transformation of education and partially remove obstacles to distance education in the teaching of practical professional subjects in the field of biological, biotechnological and food disciplines. Creation of digital materials, their collection, exchange or mediation between partners on a common virtual platform represents the development of digital readiness for various forms of tertiary education, as the digital platform will provide continuity in access to materials for teachers and students and the digital resilience and capacity of the participating universities will be strengthened.
The multiplier event within the project was organized by the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and took place in Liptovský Ján on June 12, 2024.
The event was opened by the project coordinator Adriana Kolesárová together with the head of the Institute of Applied Biology, Peter Massanyi.
The event was divided into the following Keynote talks:
The current state of online education: issues and future perspectives
Libraries of Virtual Labs: digital materials for Virtual Labs
Virtual Labs conception: design and structure of the content
Virtual labs for food technology evaluation: Simulating of textural analysis in food consumption.
